Top 5 Travel and Local Apps in Portugal for Q1 2022

The first quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends for the top travel and local apps in Portugal. Here’s a breakdown of the performance of Passe Covid, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel, eDreams: Flights, Hotels, Cars, Google Earth, and Ryanair.

Passe Covid started the quarter strong with weekly downloads peaking at 15.1K in late January. However, there was a sharp decline in downloads towards the end of the quarter, dropping to around 1K by the end of March.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 6.4K at the beginning of January and reaching 9.3K by the end of March. The app also saw a consistent rise in weekly active users, growing from 158K to 216K throughout the quarter.

eDreams: Flights, Hotels, Cars showed a positive trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 3.6K in early January and peaking at 6.2K in mid-February. Weekly active users also increased from 31K to 41K over the quarter.

Google Earth had relatively stable download numbers, with a slight peak of 5.1K in late February. Active users for the app remained consistent, with a slight increase from 34.5K to 35.8K during the quarter.

Finally, Ryanair saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 2.9K in late December and reaching 5.8K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users also rose steadily from 17.3K to 22.1K during the same period. Additionally, weekly revenue was relatively consistent, averaging around $17.
